This isn’t just recovery
— it’s transformation.
A second chance.
A new life.
A way forward.

I created Black Sheep Recovery for the ones who felt overlooked, judged, and counted out.
The ones who were told they’d never change. The ones who felt like they were too far gone.

I know that feeling — because I lived it.

There was a time in my life where everything fell apart. I had to face my past, my choices, and the reality of where I was. And rebuilding didn’t happen overnight. It was messy. It was painful. It was uncomfortable.

But it was worth it

Through faith, growth, and a whole lot of hard truth, I started putting my life back together — one step at a time.

Black Sheep Recovery was built from that place. Not from theory. Not from a textbook. But from real life, real pain, and real healing.

Everything I create — the workbooks, the content, the community — is meant to help you do the same.

To face what’s hard.
To grow through it.
And to rebuild a life you’re proud of.

You are not too far gone.
You are not beyond healing.
And you are not alone in this.

This is more than recovery.
This is transformation.

These aren’t just books you read and put down — they’re tools you actually use.Our collection includes 12 healing-centered books and hybrid workbooks designed to help people slow down, reflect, and work through what’s really going on beneath the surface.Whether you’re navigating recovery, loving someone in addiction, healing from trauma, or rebuilding your life from the ground up — these resources are meant to meet you where you are.Our books are hybrid workbooks, which means they combine real, honest guidance with space for personal reflection and growth.Inside, you’ll find short, relatable sections to read — followed by prompts, check-ins, and exercises that help you process your thoughts, emotions, and patterns in a real and meaningful way.Because you’re not just reading about healing —
you’re actively working through your own journey.
Because real healing doesn’t come from just reading about change…
it comes from doing the work.

“We are actively partnering with shelters, rehabs, and community programs to bring these resources directly to those who need them most.”

Real tools.
Real growth.
Real transformation.

What We Do

  • Outreach and community support

  • Recovery-focused resources and workbooks

  • Support for women, children, and families

  • Development of the Butterfly House

The Butterfly House is more than a vision
— it’s a safe place to land while learning to fly. 🦋

This will be a home for women and children rebuilding their lives after addiction, trauma, and loss.
A place where healing doesn’t have a time limit.
A place where they are seen, supported, and given the tools to truly rebuild — not just survive.
But this goes deeper than that.I’ve seen what happens when a woman doesn’t have a village.
When she’s trying to hold everything together on her own — healing, parenting, surviving — with no real support behind her.
And too many times, that’s when everything starts to fall apart.
Not because she doesn’t care.
Not because she doesn’t love her children.
But because she doesn’t have the support system she needs to succeed.
And that’s where we come in.The Butterfly House is about building that village.
The one so many women never had.
A place where mothers are supported, not judged.
Where they are given structure, guidance, and real-life tools — so they don’t have to lose everything just because they didn’t have help.
Because this isn’t just about getting clean —
it’s about creating a life worth staying clean for.
A life where families can stay together.
A life where cycles are broken for good.
We’re building something different.
Something real.
Something that lasts.
And you can be part of it.
Whether through prayer, support, or simply sharing this mission — you are helping us build something that could change lives for generations. 🙏

We are building a safe, stable home for women and children who are rebuilding their lives after addiction, trauma, and loss.
But we can’t do this alone.

“You’re not just donating
— you’re helping someone rebuild their life.

You can be the reason someone doesn’t give up.

Every day, people are ready to change their lives—but they can’t afford the tools to start. Not long ago, I had to give someone a tent instead of a place to heal.
And that moment stuck with me.
Because healing shouldn’t come down to who can afford it.That’s why we created
Healing Without a Price Tag—
to provide free healing resources to those who need them most.

Your donation directly puts real tools into someone’s hands:💜 $10 — Provides a digital healing workbook
💜 $25 — Sponsors a printed book for someone in recovery
💜 $50 — Provides a 2 book bundle

I am a Certified Peer Support Specialist I help people find and maintain sobriety however that looks for them through Recovery while encouraging growth. I follow Ashley on FB and have been watching her for a while. She is dedicated to helping others with her experience. Talk about pain into purpose! That's what God does! I decided to buy her recovery workbook "Black sheep Recovery workbook" and let me tell you..... It's amazing, she uses the obstacles she herself has delt with and as I might add that most people suffering from addiction will also have to face and she slowly and gently walks you through it all in her workbook. I highly recommend and will be incorporating into a recovery group soon. I know she will continue to help people with the knowledge and wisdom from her experiences. One can be defeated by their past or use it as fuel to help and Ashley helps!

As a drug and alcohol therapist in the field and also 7 years sober, I have watched Ashley on social media create something beautiful for others. Her selflessness and motivation inspires me to go further in my own career.

It gives me hope as a recovering addict that there is someone that has been down the same road and can help others than I can stay clean and do the same also if I was still in addiction I would want to know there was a safe place I could go or someone to talk to without judgement

I feel safe to express my daily struggles or just my journey. I've never felt I fit in with the reg NA stuff but this group we are open minded that not all the same things work for everyone. The mission to save people from addiction an mental illness. I spread the work of the mission myself. Would love to bring to Ohio.

There are many recovery journey pages-
But black sheep recovery stands out from all the of them. Whether you've been a part of black sheep recovery since day one,or just joining, there is a sense of connection, belonging. Recovery is such a day to day process - having a place to find true inspiration has been a game changer for me through my own recovery.

With black sheep recovery I feel safe as I am involved in an online community that serves as a safety net as it is made up of people just like me, recovering addicts who are struggling with the same life challenges as I am, and we conquer those challenges together each day clean and sober. This is not only a support system, but also has resources for those seeking help with drug/alcohol addiction that they may not have in their area.

I have been following Black Sheep Recovery for a while now. I have not participated in any of the programs or have any of the books but I do watch the content that Ashley shares and it speaks to me in ways that most people wouldn't understand. I myself am in recovery and i have just over 5 years clean. Ashley inspires me and shoes me that no matter what you can always do what you think you cant. She is a true inspiration of taking her depths and turning it into something bigger than she could imagine and that is huge. Something that really stuck with me that Ashley said is that sometimes you just have to shoot your shot. That really stuck with me because I am a firm believer that you miss 100% of the shots you dont take. Black Sheep Recovery has given me an inspiration to keep following my journey and recovery and that good things will happen as long as I stay true to myself. I am so proud of this girl and what she is doing and i am so beyond grateful that there are people in this world that want to give back.

I have been following BSR for a couple years. Ashley's story was one that I relate to on almost every level immediately. Early in her journey I was impacted because the techniques she used and discussed were so unique to any program I was aware of, like the one she demonstrated in her own life. BSR is not a how- to guide to recovery, because black sheep recovery teaches you that you are recovered mind set, designed to individually assist people to discover their own path to recovery and encourage them to not give up. This journey is hard and never once do these workbooks indicate that it is easy to attain sobriety, however with perseverance and faithfulness and the rewards of never giving up, The books brought me hope and reminded me the importance of not quitting when times get tough, because they will get tough.
I purchased "Black sheep healing journey" physical copy and 2 E books from etsy. "Healing after losing yourself in survival" and "Healing workbook for starting over"because I work in recovery as a Certified Peer Support Specialist and BSR is the first program that mirrors my own journey as far as the program primarily designed to help someone to discover their own recovery style authentic to them individually. I believe in Black Sheep Recovery on a personal level as a person in recovery, but also in helping others find their path, trusting in a higher power (God), self discovery and healing.

I am currently 195 days sober 3/23/2026 and I was invited to Black Sheep Recovery by Ashley Meeks who inspired me to write my story and share my journey. I am currently working on my own book because of her. I am thriving in my journey I am in an MAT program that makes me feel supported and being part of Black Sheep Recovery has made me feel even more supported. I never have felt a sense of community in my life until I started my recovery journey. This isn't easy at all and Black Sheep Recovery has made me feel less alone in my struggles and cheers me on every step of the way. We cheer each other on because I support and root for everyone including Ashley on their own journeys. And they show me the same support and love back. Ashley's story is so inspiring and the work that she is doing is helping so many people including myself. I feel like she had a hand in helping me save my life. I could never thank her enough for her kindness on her live the one time I chimed in she made me feel seen and really inspired me to start writing my own story. She's got a beautiful soul and a heart of gold. I plan on buying her books once I have the money to do so. This woman is incredible.for putting such a wonderful community together where we support each other. Black Sheep Recovery is a place of healing and hope. I support Black Sheep Recovery a d Ashley Meeks mission!

It gives me the “lift” in every day life.

The first time I seen a video I was struggling to go after my dream of helping other addicts and seeing Ash gave me hope!

I am now 18 months clean, I'm always looking for online support because I don’t have much support from friends and family. That being said, Black sheep recovery is not just my support, it's my family, brothers and sisters with a common bond. Its a community of warriors who arr all fighting similar battles and giving support to those who reach out and are just starting their recovery. With prayer, guidance, resources. I've always said the best help you can receive for addiction is the help from someone who has walk in those shoes. Ashley is an amazing mentor because of her own success and the way she gives her time selflessly with new content daily.

The constant reassurance and motivation has helped me tremendously. The daily reminders that God has it all figured out for me and I need to trust the process I'm going through whether small or big, difficult or easy.

I am not one who was addicted to any drugs,I have many friends and family who are or used to be.Ashley has helped me in many ways understand the addicts mind in ways only a addict can explain, this has helped me in so many ways due to how to handle situations that arise from my friends and family. I watch Ashlys videos on a daily basis and it has brought many tears, smiles and hope that its possible to get clean and life can be normal again.Ashley is a insperation and I love her even though I have never met her.

Recovery hasn’t been easy, and it hasn’t been perfect—but it’s been real. There were days I didn’t recognize myself, days I didn’t think change was possible, and days I wanted to give up. But I didn’t.
Finding Black Sheep Recovery gave me a place where I felt understood, not judged. A place where I could be honest. They reminded me that I’m not alone in this and that my story matters.
